Legends Character Rentals
Employment Type: Contract
Category: Arts, Culture, & Entertainment
Starting Date: ASAP/TBN
Application Deadline: 2025-10-31
Job Description
My name is Josh, Founder and CEO of Legends Character Rentals. We do characters like Spider-Man, Elsa, Sonic the Hedgehog, the Grinch, and many many more for birthday parties and other community events along with a few other services like facepainting and outdoor games. You can find photos of the characters we offer here.
With our company constantly expanding we are looking to hire some more local students in university interested in playing Elsa, Cinderella, Ariel, Batman, Superman, and many other characters for us at these events. I'm looking for performers between the ages of 18 to 25 who have their own license and access to a vehicle, and will need to provide me an up-to-date criminal background check.
Is the upmost importance in this job that we don't break a child's dream, so with that in mind I need a big cast of people that are of all ethnicities in order to have performers that look most like the actual character and will be casted as such. My target audience is five-year-olds and it's very black-and-white for them. You are Spider-Man or you're not, you're Elsa or you're not. It's as simple as that so it's imperative that we provide the most authentic representation of the characters.
Gigs are typically 30 minutes for a birthday party or an hourly walkabout. A 30 minute party, you would receive $75 and for a walkabout it would be $75 for the first hour and an additional $50 for every additional hour.
The only specific requirements for these characters in general is that superheroes need to be in fit shape and princesses need to be able to sing. My company would provide the costumes and the training, but it would be required that you do your research on the characters you play.
