Sarah Hodges-Kolisnyk

Like a good book, art stories are nuanced, multilayered and keep us wondering. Sarah approaches art through the lens of storytelling, treating each art engagement is an opportunity to explore.

Sarah has a Masters of Arts in Cultural Studies (specialization in Curatorial Practices) from the University of Winnipeg, as well as a Communications Degree with a Minor in History of Art. She is a lens-based artist who works in both analogue and digital technologies. Sarah passionately believes that the arts can enhance social-emotional learning, build bridges and encourage dialogue, and she has experienced this directly as an arts educator at Willis College (formerly PrairieView School of Photography) and as the Public Art Tour Coordinator for the Winnipeg Arts Council. 

Some of Sarah's most memorable artistic pursuits come from getting messy while tackling creative projects with her three young children and her husband Nick.
