For your first year at CMU you may choose courses freely according to your interests or to fit the program of study you expect you will pursue. However, there are a few requirements you must meet.
Requirements for your first year of study
You must register for all of the following:
- INTD-1000 Ways of Knowing I
- A course with a W designation or ACWR-1010 Writing for Academic Purposes, AND
- INTD-0900 CMU First Year Advising Seminar
To be a full-time student, you need to register for a minimum of 9 (max. 15) credit hours each semester.
