Composition Studies in the techniques of musical composition. We will hone your fluency in composition through music theory, audio production, instrumentation, score study, and critical listening from a wide variety of genres and types of ensembles, helping you create original compositions which express yourself and connect with others. Thorough Theory Class (Rudiments)This stimulating group course is designed to prepare high school band, choir, and solo musicians for further musical studies. A comprehensive survey of theory, including aural and keyboard skills, will be offered. Students who complete the course will be prepared for Grade 8 Royal Conservatory of Music or equivalent theory exams and university entrance theory tests. In addition, students will establish a strong foundation of theory, aural, and keyboard skills to enhance vocal or instrumental performance and university level music studies.
