Coordinator of Sports Info and Communications
Joshua joined the CMU Athletics Department in February 2013 after five years of study at CMU, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Business and Organizational Administration. This background has carried over to the Athletics Department, where he organizes the CMU Blazers Summer Sports Camps, assists in the running of the President's Classic Golf Tournament, and other varsity programs.
Joshua also brings with him experiences as a member of the Blazers, during which time he played libero for the volleyball team, and goal for the hockey team in MCAC competition. "CMU is all about community, and for me, participation in sports was just a natural way of being part of student life at the university." He has seen the MCAC grow over past several years, and enjoys being part of that development process.
As a way of staying involved with volleyball at CMU, Joshua mentors the next generation of Blazers as an assistant coach with the men's team. "Not only does it help me stay involved with students, it also keeps me in touch with what the fans want out of the experience," he states in regards to how his coaching role has helped in his Athletics position.
In addition to university athletics, Josh also enjoys playing slo-pitch and ultimate frisbee in the summer, hockey in the winter, and watching Winnipeg's professional sports teams. Outside of sports, his interests include further learning, both through classes and experiences travelling the world.
