Vic is Library Director at CMU, which means he oversees all aspects of the library program: collection development, reference and technical services, website maintenance, staff development and supervision, and more. He has been with CMU almost from its beginning in 2000, serving until 2009 as Associate Librarian, and since then as Director.

He got his Master of Library & Information Science degree from the University of Western Ontario, but not before earning a PhD from the Toronto School of Theology. Of course he's a reader, which he says can be frustrating—so many books to read but so little time. Even so, Vic says there is consolation in imagining that many students discover books in the library that open their eyes to God's truth, hidden (and not so hidden) in the world. He's happy to play a part in such intellectual and spiritual breakthroughs.

Originally from St. Catharines, Ontario, Vic and his wife Irene live in Steinbach where they are members of the Steinbach Mennonite Brethren Church. They have three adult sons, a daughter-in-law, and two wonderful grandchildren. Apart from reading, Vic enjoys photography, creating videos, tennis, and sometimes pickleball.
