Paul has worked as CMU's Web Developer since March 2012. In this role, he is responsible for the design and maintenance of all the websites under the Canadian Mennonite University umbrella.

Paul completed a front- and back-end overhaul of the CMU website in the fall of 2013, and in 2019 upgraded much of the website again (including a refreshed look). Paul's day-to-day duties include adding new features and functionality within the various sites; creating standalone sites for new properties or initiatives; tweaking the overall template to match up-to-date design standards; and the occasional foray into photography, videography, and social media for special events on campus.

Paul has been designing websites since he was a 15-year-old high school student, and after formal training at Applied Multimedia Training Centre in 2001, spent the next decade running his own web development firm providing web design, graphic design, and custom content management creation for individuals and organizations large and small.

Outside of CMU, Paul keeps very busy in a number of mostly fun roles: producing music and comedy events (such as CaRaVaN Open Mic and the comedy game show Pants on Fire) throughout Winnipeg as Artistic Director of the Purple Room; facilitating, editing, and occasionally conducting interviews with musicians, comedians, and actors as Managing Editor of the entertainment website ShowbizMonkeys.com, which he co-founded in 2001; helping his comedian and musician friends get their own websites up and running; writing and performing folk music on ukulele, guitar, and piano for audiences small and smaller; and taking in live music and comedy both locally and around the world.

Paul and his partner Danae – who is an alumn of the Outtatown Program and graduated from CMU in 2011 – had a small pandemic wedding in the fall of 2020.
